As you read this I *should* be on the road to TN. Yes, I feel like I say that frequently these days, but it will be the LAST time I travel to TN before the wedding!! It's INSANE how quickly the time is flying by. John is staying in DC with Cole Lee for a "boys weekend" so I'll be driving back alone. I don't make the drive alone to much these days so I'll actually have to stay awake - I usually I take the opportunity to take a little snooze while John drives. But this time I will be cranking up the music and singing from DC to TN!
Tomorrow, my best friend Carey and her sweet Momma Pam (my second mother) are hosting a monogram shower for me! I'm SO excited! As you may know, I'll monogram anything that will sit still long enough, and I have restricted myself from purchasing anything with my current monogram for quite a while. I am also doing my LAST dress fitting and meeting with the man that's doing some of the decorations for our reception/wedding. Last night, Mom, McKenzie and I decided on a whim to run the Crazy 8's Road Race, a.k.a "the world's fastest 8K". Crazy 8's is held in Kingsport, TN (the neighboring town) in conjunction with "Fun Fest", their big summer festival. Unusual due to the size of the town, Crazy 8's brings some of the fastest competitive runners from all over the world! Some world records have been made at this race. It's unbelieveable to see some of the eliete runners. Now, the Calhoun ladies won't nessisarily be competing in the eliete division but we will have fun!
