We had our first married Thanksgiving, and it was wonderful! John and I decided when we got engaged that we would alternate holidays. Last year we spent Thanksgiving in Chattanooga, so this year we were with my family. We had a great first married holiday as Mr. and Mrs. Goetz!
We started off Thanksgiving Day at the Johnson City Turkey Trot. This has become a Calhoun family tradition and was John's FIRST 5K! He did a wonderful job, I was so proud of him! He *claims* it was his last race, but we'll see ;) haha

This year the my precious cousin Kristin was out on the mission field and missed Thanksgiving this year. Sidenote - if you would like to hear all I must say again that her heart for the Lord never ceases to amaze me! We were thankful to be able to FaceTime with her before Thanksgiving lunch. Her laugh carried through the house - it was almost like she was there with us!

Even though the kid's table was a little smaller this year, we had a great time! Holidays at Mamaw and Papaw's house are my favorite! There's more food, laughter, and fun than any other day! I am reminded just how blessed I am everytime I'm there.

We ended the weekend at an engagement party for my best friend Carey's little brother Will. Boots, BBQ, and my Best Friend - so fun!
Sunday before we left, we made sure to get a copy of the local paper because our wedding announcement was printed. It was so fun to see the names of our family and friends - almost like reliving the day!
