I started out my morning with a run. This isn't different than most mornings these days. The highlight of my run was seeing this guy...
Dude was the FIRST person in line at the SCOTUS ready to see what went down today. I respect his enthusiasm, however I question his outfit choice given its a zillion degrees outside. He wasn't alone though. I was amazed at how many people were outside. Mainly young college-aged men and women. Presumingly, interns on the Hill or for other organizations. Way to go interns making the most of their summer in DC! I commend those who take advantage of being here. Speaking of, we decided before the announcement to walk over and see the crowds that had gathered. I'm so glad we did! We saw everything from belly dancers to a man selling tshirts. There was even music playing! You would have thought it was a festival, not the highest level of the judicial branch of our government issuing a ruling on a historical piece of legislation.
We had to snap a picture of a few of us in front of the steps.
After a busy day at work I relaxed while having my hair trimmed and colored! I don't know about y'all, but having my hair done totally changes my opinion on life. Ok, that might be a slight exaggeration - but I do love having it done. :)This weekend is my first wedding shower! I'm so excited! It's being thrown by a few of my precious bridesmaids and my amazing maid of honor. I'm so blessed with having these ladies in my life! I'll make sure to take pics and follow up with a recap post.
I hope yall are having a great week and looking forward to the weekend ahead!
